Privacy

Where you are is your business.

Wayfinder shows you where you are on the map of the destination you're visiting. Your location stays on your device unless you choose to share it — and we never keep a history of where you've been.

Mia Wayfinder is a Mia Bazo product. This covers the data Wayfinder handles; the Mia Bazo privacy policy covers the brand overall.

Your location

Your position comes from your device's GPS. The "you are here" dot works entirely on your device and needs no connection — that's the whole point at places with no signal.

Your account

You sign in with your Mia account (email and password) — the same identity used across Mia products. We use your email only to connect you with friends. You don't even need an account to use the map: tap "Skip" and the map, your position and search all work.

Friends

Friends are shared across the Mia products you use — for example Cruise With Friends and Mia Relay — so people you already know appear automatically. You're always in control: you can add a friend by email and remove anyone at any time.

Your photo

You can add an optional profile photo so friends recognise you on the map. It's stored for your friends' apps to show, and you can change or remove it whenever you like.

Working offline

Maps you download, your searches, your position and your friends' photos are all stored on your device so they work with no connection. Only your friends' live positions need the internet — because that information physically has to travel over the network in real time.

Your rights

You can export everything we hold about you, or delete it entirely, at any time from your account — see how to delete your account. Deleting removes your Wayfinder data and your connections. Your Mia sign-in itself is managed through your Mia account.

What we don't do

No advertising trackers, no cross-app profiling, no location history, and we never sell your data. We treat "could we monetise this?" as a bug, not a feature.

Where your data lives

Wayfinder's data is hosted on Microsoft Azure. Your maps and searchable places are static content; your account and friend connections live in the shared Mia database.
